Beginning of summer vacation: Primary teachers were trapped in Kutch instead of hometown

Vacation fun is either for the students or the teachers. But, as this summer vacation has become a punishment for primary school teachers, the teachers are not able to go to their hometowns even though the state government has officially announced summer vacation from today. A third phase of lockdown is underway across the country following Corona's death. As a result, it is not possible to go outside the district or state without permission. For some similar reason, primary teachers outside the district on duty in Kutch are also stuck.

Hundreds of primary school teachers working in various primary schools in Bunny-West, considered to be the border area of Chhewada in Kutch, are in a hurry to go home as soon as the vacation is announced but now the district borders are sealed and they are waiting for the upper level order. However, the mood of the primary school teachers has also deteriorated as the educational work has been stopped for the last one month and they are being provided at home.

Corona's global epidemic has also had an impact on education. The first step was to stop the spread of coronation in the country. Only teachers were ordered to go to school. But the teachers have no idea that Corona's vacation will be ruined. And that's exactly what happened. Summer vacation has been officially announced and even though the vacation has started from today, the primary school teachers on duty in Kutch cannot go home.

Most of the primary teachers on duty in Kutch are from outside the district. Rapar, Lakhpat, Abdasa of Chhewada as well as primary teachers of Bunny-West area of Bhuj taluka are worried at present. Hometown with family at the start of the summer vacation but this time stuck due to the announced lockdown following the Corona virus.

For the last several days, the school has been closed for educational purposes and only government-ordered work has been carried out and now, despite the announcement of summer vacation, he is unable to go home due to lockdown.

400-500 km from hometown. The mood of the primary teachers living in the remote Chhewada area has deteriorated. Because, in the early days of the lockdown, it seemed that the lockdown would open by the summer vacation and they would be able to go home, but now that the lockdown has been extended by the government and the district boundaries have been sealed, it has become difficult for teachers to reach home.

Even though the summer vacation holidays started today, the primary teachers had to start their vacation in Kutch.

Expressing their displeasure over this, the Khawda teachers said that they did not want to take any risk to go home without legal permission as the district boundaries were sealed due to the lockdown. We are ready to go home if we get approval from the office. Hurry to go home but how to get home? At present no system has been set up by the system. More than 30 teacher families are stuck in food alone. Especially those sisters who live here alone have their moods worsened.

At that time, there is a demand from the primary teachers that arrangements should be made for repatriation through the system. Talking to District Primary Education Officer Sanjay Parmar about this, he also drew attention to this issue at the upper level. Upon receipt of the order, the approval will be processed as per the instructions.

It is to be mentioned that when the state government is making arrangements to repatriate foreign workers, why the teachers on duty in Kutch are not allowed to go home? Why no arrangements are made for them. It is difficult to be alone in the deserted area of Chhewada as the educational work has been closed for the last forty days and now that the vacation has come, arrangements should be made to take the teachers home.

However, in this regard, Kutch District Primary Teachers Society and Pvt. Although it was introduced by the academic union, no result was forthcoming, which has rekindled the anxiety among the teachers. On the other hand, many primary school teachers had reached home in the early stages of the lockdown and many teachers had not left their head quarters at that time. Even well-meaning teachers are now repenting.

Officials show sympathy towards primary teachers
Apart from teaching, many obstacles are taken from the primary teachers. The public representatives of Kutch need to come forward on behalf of the primary teachers who are trapped even though the vacation has been declared public due to the lockdown at the present time.

When teachers are ready to go home and follow all the rules, they should try to get permission to take them home. Even though the officials are silent on the matter, the teachers will have to stay in the border district for how many more days.
